Ana Ivanovic

ana ivanovic adam scott

Ana Ivanovic is a tennis player, and a darn good one - she was ranked No. 1 in the world before various injuries helped knock her from that perch. But she's on Golf Babes today because her boyfriend is Adam Scott.

Adam's golf game may be suffering these days, but his taste in women certainly isn't ...

Ivanovic is a golfer, too, and has appeared on GB before after doing a golf-themed photo shoot.

Jenteal Jackson

jenteal jacksonCheck out the Golfweek blog of Lance Ringler, the guru of college golf, and you'll find a nice post about Jenteal Jackson of Brigham Young University.

Jackson, Ringler reports, is a five-time Utah Junior State Amateur champion who played her first collegiate tournament this week. What's the big deal about that? She had to get permission from the BYU basketball coach to make the golf trip.

Because Jackson was also the 2008 Utah high school basketball player of the year, and is a major player for the BYU women's hoops team.

2010 World Ladies Calendar

Yesterday we told you about the 2010 Paula Creamer calendar published in Japan; today it's the Golf Digest Japan 2010 World Ladies Golf Calendar. Every year GDJ selects three or four golfers to feature in its calendar. This year, three golfers are pictured in the calendar. Those three are:

Danielle Bowers

Danielle Bowers - you may know her better by her maiden name, Danielle Montgomery - is an Australian golfer who plays on the ALPG Tour. She took part in a better-known calendar a year ago, when she recreated Jan Stephenson's famous bathtub photo for the Australian Women of Professional Golf calendar.

Lauren Espinosa

Lauren Espinosa played collegiately at the University of Arizona, turned pro in 2006, and has played in about 15 Duramed Futures Tour tournaments since then.

Lindsay Senger

2010 Paula Creamer Calendar

Paula Creamer is playing in Japan this week, so it makes sense that Golf Digest Japan would choose this week to release the 2010 Paula Creamer calendar. Paula has done a calendar for GDJ every year since at least 2007. Alas, the calendars are available only in Japan - but if you keep an eye on eBay, you might find one that way.

As you can see, there's nothing the least bit risque about the calendar photos. So why Creamer doesn't release a calendar in the U.S. or elsewhere is an open question. A possible answer: She's getting lots of money from GDJ (and if so, more power to her!) and has an exclusive deal.

Marianne Skarpnord

marianne skarpnord pictures

Win No. 2 on the Ladies European Tour this year for Marianne Skarpnord came today at the Ladies Italian Open (the trophy shot above is from an earlier win). Not only did Marianne beat Laura Davies in a playoff to earn that victory, but she got into the playoff by sinking a 35-foot eagle putt on the final hole of regulation. That's winning in style.

Marianne will be playing in the LPGA Q-School finals next month, attempting to join Suzann Pettersen as the second Norwegian on the LPGA.

Carling Coffing

carling coffing pictures

It's not easy being a Reds fan these days. Trust me - I know. But Carling Coffing is not easily daunted, whether in her choice of baseball teams or in the pursuit of the LPGA Tour. Carling will be playing for her LPGA card at the Q-School finals in December.

She got into Q-School finals through the Florida sectional. The pressure of qualifying tournaments can create some big scores in final rounds. But Carling went the other direction at the sectional - she opened with a 79, but kept grinding and posted her best score of the tournament in the last round to advance to the finals.

Coffing is an Ohio native who played collegiately at Ohio State after winning the Ohio state high school championship. She turned pro in 2008 and got into 10 events on the Duramed Futures Tour. In 2009, she played 17 Futures tournaments, improving her scoring average and money list position and making 13 cuts.

Carling also put the communications degree she earned at Ohio State to use in 2009, shooting video features for the Futures Tour website, and doing a vlog for the Golf Channel website. Some of those clips are on YouTube and we've posted one below.

Eliza Dushku

eliza dushku pictures

Eliza Dushku is a golf babes? Yes, it turns out. The November issue of Golf Digest includes that pub's listing of the best golfers in Hollywood, and Dushku gets a brief interview. A longer Q&A will be posted on golfdigest.com, but as this is written that Q&A is not yet online.

In the print pub, Dushku talks about her first memory of golf:

I grew up across the street from a course in Boston, and we had golf balls coming into our yard and through our windows.

Asked whether, if she had one putt for her life, she would ask Tiger Woods to take it or take it herself, she says she'd take it. Good on her.

ESPN The Magazine "Bodies" Issue

espn bodies golfers(Photo by Matthias Clamer/ESPN The Magazine)

There they are: The three golfers who agreed to pose for the "Bodies" issue of ESPN The Magazine, on newsstands in mid-October. They are, from left to right, Sandra Gal, Anna Grzebien and Christina Kim.

Dozens and dozens of other athletes, from all variety of sports (even a sumo wrestler, which, come to think of it, isn't much of a suprise - they compete nearly nude already) posed for the "bodies" issue, most of them posing as our trio of golfers did above: no clothing, but strategically draped arms, hair, and/or props covering up the naughty bits.

And the magazine explores the questions that will arise, particularly about the female athletes who posed (nobody will really care that men posed in this manner), in an article posted online now: For Sale By Owner - How much should female athletes reveal in the name of self-promotion?

More articles and images from the "Bodies" issue are online here on ESPN.com.

Azahara Munoz Wins Pro Debut

azahara munoz pictures

We've noted before that Azahara Munoz is a young golfer to watch. The 2008 NCAA champ and 2009 British Ladies Amateur champ completed an All-American (and All-Academic) career at Arizona State earlier this year. One of her teammates for a couple seasons was Anna Nordqvist.

On Sunday, the two did battle down the stretch at the LET Madrid Ladies Masters. Munoz was making her professional debut in her home country. Nordqvist is a rookie, but this year won a major and played in the Solheim Cup.

And Nordqvist threw a 63 on the board Sunday, rocketing up the leaderboard. Only to be pipped by Munoz, who shot 64.

Munoz made it through sectional qualifying for LPGA Q-School last month, and will play the Q-School finals in December.
