Kristie Smith

Congratulations to Kristie Smith for her first win as a professional. The young Australian claimed the trophy at the Royal Canberra Ladies Classic on the ALPG Tour with a final-round 64 that propelled her past Katherine Hull.

Kristie has LET status in 2010, and we might see her on the Futures Tour, as well, where she had a second-place finish in a handful of rookie-year starts in 2009.

Natalie Gulbis on "CSI"

No, she won't look like that on CSI. Last year, Natalie Gulbis hit primetime TV on Celebrity Apprentice. This week, she's back in primetime, but this time it's episode television, and there's no Donald Trump. Natalie, along with several other golfers, is guest starring on this week's CSI (the original one). The episode airs on Thursday.

Solheim Celebration in D.C.

The American Solheim Cup team spent Tuesday and part of Wednesday in Washington, D.C., where, among other activities, they were welcomed to the White House by President Barack Obama in recognition of their victory. Looks like they had fun.



Michelle Wie, Christina Kim and Natalie Gulbis go all Charlie's Angels.



Nicole Castrale, Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel are bundled up for the cold.



Christina and Michelle have a bit of the Captain in 'em.

Amber Prange

We've had several posts recently introducing you to GolfProGirls.com and to the professional golfers who serve as video hosts, interviewers and demonstrators for that new Web site, which offers playing tips, personality features, rules demonstrations and more.

Amber Prange is one of the Golf Pro Girls. You might recognize her from "Big Break X," and she made her LPGA Tour debut at the 2009 Canadian Women's Open. Amber's tour experience to date has mostly come on the Duramed Futures Tour and the Women's Canadian Tour.
