I'm not sure that any golfer in the world is on a better run right now than Meadow. In late May, she was a big reason why the Alabama women's team won the NCAA championship. A couple weeks ago, she earned the winning point as part of the Great Britain & Ireland team at the 2012 Curtis Cup. Now, she's the British Ladies Am champ.

Lotta Wahlin Retires
Lotta Wahlin has called an end to her career as a tour pro, with the LET's 2012 Prague Golf Masters serving as her final event.Wahlin, from Sweden, had an 8-year pro career and posted two victories on the Ladies European Tour. Her career was on a major upward path beginning in 2006, when she finished 39th on the LET money list. The following year she improved to 21st. And in 2008, Lotta was 7th on the money list, won two LET tournaments plus another unofficial event.
Unfortunately, a "serious skin illness" arose and derailed her career; she started only two LET tournaments in 2010.
Lotta told the LET's website that she's tired of the travel and will look for a low-stress career, along with possibly going back to school.

Carly Booth
Just a couple months after notching her first professional victory, Carly Booth is at it again. This time, Carly won the LET's Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open in a 3-way playoff over Anja Monke and Caroline Masson. It was quite a playoff, too, with all three players posting birdies on the first three holes. Booth finally won it with an eagle on the fourth extra hole. The victory comes one week before Booth's 20th birthday.

2012 GB&I Curtis Cup Team
Congratulations to the 2012 Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team, which won the Cup for GB&I for the first time since 1996. Team captain Tegwen Matthews posted the above team photo on Facebook with the caption, "My little monsters." Her little monsters were plenty scary to Team USA, that's for sure! The GB&I team members were Amy Boulden, Holly Clyburn, Charley Hull, Bronte Law, Leona Maguire, Pamela Pretswell, Kelly Tidy, Stephanie Meadow. Congrats to all.
